TAMPA, Fla. — ColDesi, Inc. announces the launch of the ColDesi AcroShear DTF Transfer Cutting System, a production automation solution designed to reduce the manual cutting required between DTF printing and finished transfer production.
As commercial DTF printing systems continue to increase production speeds, manually cutting and separating finished transfers can become a bottleneck. AcroShear automates this stage of the workflow by cross cutting and slitting printed and cured DTF film into individual transfer sheets ready for production.

Designed for high-production DTF environments, AcroShear can operate inline downstream from a DTF dryer or as a standalone system using an automated unwind system for previously printed rolls. This gives businesses the flexibility to integrate automated cutting directly into production or process completed rolls separately.
AcroShear DTF Transfer Cutting System combines automatic cross cutting, simultaneous slitting, printed-mark detection, QR-based job automation and automated film management to reduce repetitive operator intervention throughout the cutting process.

Automation Designed for DTF Production
AcroShear DTF Transfer Cutting System uses ColDesi’s Automated Production Application to generate cross-cut marks, slitter-position information and job-change information independently of the printer RIP. Printed registration marks help the system determine cross-cut positioning, while QR information can communicate job changes, slitter positions, cutting requirements and upcoming workflow changes.
The system features five slitter combinations with two independently driven industrial rotary shear positions per combination, providing 10 total shear positions. Operators can engage only the combinations required for each job, providing flexibility across different transfer layouts and finished widths.
AcroShear is designed to process transfers at production speeds of up to 3,300 4″ × 4″ transfers per hour, 1,800 8″ × 8″ transfers per hour and 1,080 12″ × 12″ transfers per hour.*
Built to Fit Existing DTF Workflows
AcroShear DTF Transfer Cutting System does not need to be permanently tied to a single printer manufacturer or RIP environment. Its dedicated production application generates the information required for the cutting workflow independently of the printer RIP, helping businesses incorporate automated cutting into existing DTF production environments.
For inline production, printed and cured film can move from the dryer into AcroShear for cutting and slitting. For standalone production, previously printed rolls can be processed using the automated unwind system.
The system also uses edge-driven film transport designed to keep printed artwork away from drive rollers. LiDAR monitoring tracks the available film loop and allows AcroShear to pause when additional film is needed rather than pulling against upstream equipment.

AcroShear is designed and manufactured in the United States with an emphasis on production automation, durability and serviceability. A 3.5-inch touchscreen provides production information and system controls, supported by an integrated Help Menu, LED status indicators and an automatic startup equipment check.
