Vibrant Full Color Transfers for Almost Any Garment
The ColDesi DTF 12H2 is a two printhead Direct to Film printer featuring a 12-inch print width. It produces vibrant full color transfers that:
- Adhere to almost any garment
- Work well for difficult placement areas
- Require only about a 10 second initial press time
- Remain durable through dozens of wash cycles
The upgraded system now includes a new expanded color system that adds Orange and Green inks to the traditional CMYK and White configuration. This produces a 27 percent wider color range, allowing the printer to reproduce approximately 100,000 more colors than previous models.
The result is brighter graphics, smoother gradients, and more accurate logo colors for custom apparel.
How does a DTF Printer work?
A DTF printer prints a design onto special PET transfer film using a blend of CMYK inks. The printer’s dual print head system lays down the color layer first, followed by a white underbase that aligns perfectly with the printed design.
After printing, a fine adhesive powder is applied to the back of the transfer while the ink is still wet. The transfer is then cured so the adhesive bonds with the ink, creating a flexible transfer ready for heat application.
When it is time to decorate the garment, the transfer is placed onto the fabric and heat pressed. The PET film is then peeled away, leaving behind a soft and durable print that bonds to the garment surface.
DTF transfers produced with the DTF 12H2 can be applied to cotton, polyester, blends, and many other fabrics, giving apparel businesses a flexible way to decorate a wide range of products.
