Tell us a little about who you are and what you do:

Five years ago I started Sea Mist Embroidery to provide embroidery and rhinestone apparel to customers around the country and the world.

To date, I have shipped items to customers in the USA, Canada, Germany, Ireland, the UK, Austria, and Australia.

Where did you get your new business name?

The name change for the business now reflects the varied items I have available. Tuula is also the name of my heart dog that is an inspiration to me daily.

And as I specialize in items for pets and pet lovers, I felt the name fitting. I found an excellent market providing trophies and prizes for all types of shows.

What did you get from ColDesi and why?

As my business increased a single needle machine was not efficient, and I found the need for a larger multi-needle machine.

I researched many different brands of multi-needle machines and ultimately decided to purchase a GS1501 from Pantograms now ColDesi/Colman and Company.

My clients were asking for a wider variety of items I started to investigate other processes for apparel decorating.

Over the years I maintained a business relationship with ColDesi/Colman and Company and watched the progression of the Digital HeatFX white toner printer system. To keep up with customer demand, earlier this year I purchased the Digital Heat FX and a Maxx heat press.

With the purchase of this system, Tuula’s Closet came to be!

What other things do you do?

I have also provided trophies for several specialties breeds National dog shows. The addition of the Digital HeatFX has increased the scope of my business so I can now offer a full line of decorated apparel as well as other items to my clients.

I also assist other small business owners by offering them full-color t-shirt transfers on a wholesale basis.

The future looks bright for Tuula’s Closet as we will be adding new services to our company to provide our customers an even greater variety of products.
